I am a strong believer in going above and beyond the call of duty for the wonderful group of athletes in my program.  From a very young age, my mother instilled in me the importance of the “3D Rule” which consists of Dedication, Desire and Determination.  The 3D Rule is what drives my passion for sports which started at the very tender age of five when I first picked up a baseball, basketball and football.  From there, it was “love at first sight!”  I competed in all sports for the next 25 years while picking up several honors from junior high school, high school and college.

While attending Brook’s Jr. High School in Harvey, IL, I was a star basketball player.  During my junior high school years, I participated in the Harvey youth programs.  I was often times referred to as “a touchdown machine” while playing for the Harvey Colts.  Due to my phenomenal demonstration of athleticism, Mr. Larry Homes encouraged me to try out for the Arco/Jessie Owens Junior Olympics Games. This was a national competition from all fifty states in track and field events.  To this day, I always look back and say, “Thank you Mr. Homes for giving me that push.”

I had the opportunity to compete with several young men that went on to become professional athletes while participating in varsity sports at Thornton Township High School in Harvey, IL.  I competed with several star athletes including: basketball players (Kendall Gill,  Marcus Liberty and Sam Mack), football players (Melvin Hunter and Lamar McGriggs) and baseball  players (Edgar Anderson, Curt Parham and Jeff Jackson).  My senior year in varsity sports was the most exciting time in my life.  I was All State in two sports: baseball and football.  I would later sign a national letter of intent to play football at the University of Louisville and Howard Schnellenberger.

While at the University of Louisville, I played both football and baseball for two years before deciding to transfer to a different school.  After college, I continued to give back to the youth and provided training at several clinics including: Nike, Adidas, Under Armor in addition to several collegiate and professional athlete training clinics throughout the nation.

With all of the knowledge and experience that I gained, I established The Wright Touch Athletics.  At The Wright Touch Athletics, we train and mentor our youth and teach them about the importance of life and getting all that it has to offer.  We continuously challenge our youth from a mental and physical perspective and most importantly we focus on preparing them for life’s unpredictable journey!

"I want to tell you a little story about who I am,

what drives me, and why I will always be of

service to the youth that we serve through

The Wright Touch Athletics."
